7/17 – Important Updates/ Resources from Pastor Mike

Blessings in Christ,

7/13 – BPBC Update

Blessings in Christ,

It’ s surely looking like a God-glorifying end of the week. I want to share some important announcements, as well as our weekly praises and prayers.

Preterist Pilgrim Weekend begins tonight in Ardmore, Oklohoma. The great news is that you can watch the livestream of the conference right from the comfort of your living room. The EST schedule for PPW 2017 is;

Thursday – 8PM

Friday – 9AM – 12:45PM; 2PM – 4:45PM; 7:45PM –  10PM

Saturday – 8:45AM – 12:30PM

Here is the link you can use to access the conference, http://donkpreston.com/live-stream-ppw-2017/

May God be glorified through all that is done and said at that event!

As many of you know, I am excited and diligently preparing for my upcoming exchange with Ed Stevens of the International Preterist Association regarding the “Resurrection and Bodily Change of 1 Corinthians chapter 15”. The Niagara Preterist Conference is next week – July 20th-22nd. There will not be a livestream, however everything will be recorded and put out for viewing after the conference.

I pray that many of you have been seeing the “healing of the nations” take place as we walk worthy of “Grow and Go”. I have had successful Gospel engagement utilizing the challenge to exhort, encourage, and implore the world with the Gospel. Have you brought up the riches of His grace to anyone this week (cf. Ephesians 2:6-7).

God willing, I will be seeing some of you at Bible Study on Saturday at 9AM. Otherwise, I look forward to continuing our sermon series “ Outlining Wickedness” this coming Sunday. Remember, visitors receive a free copy of Wicked.

In Service to Him,

Pastor Michael Miano

Blessings in Christ Jesus,

Blessings in Christ Jesus.

6/2 – BPBC Updates

Blessings in Christ Jesus,

It is my sincere pray that this week has been a blessed one. The weather was beautiful for many of the days and gave ample opportunity for God to be praised, and prayerfully for you to be productive.

You will find various items attached to this email, all of which will be explained in this email. Along with the resourced I will attach this email will include some updates. Also, an update on our praises and prayers for the week.

Saturday Bible Study at BPBC will be canceled.

Tomorrow is officially “HOPE DAY 2017”!!! I look forward to seeing many of you at the Brentwood Recreation Center at 8AM. Please see attached flier and volunteer instructions which are attached to this email. Remember, we prayed this past Sunday that as the “Grocery Team” we will do more than stock and distribute bags of groceries. Rather, as members of His Church we will bring “resurrection” to Brentwood – offering beautiful moments and attitudes to those who all too often see ugly moments and attitudes.  (PLEASE SEE ATTACHMENTS)

This past Sunday we had an interesting discussion in our Adult Sunday School. We talked about “resurrection” and “healing of the nations” in regards to what can be referred to as “creation care”. Interestingly enough, the June topic for “Common Prayer” is exactly that – Creation Care. Consider these details:

“Much of our theology has been so concentrated on heaven that it invalidates any concern for the earth. Some images in Scripture have even been misconstrued to perpetuate a disregard for creation, such as the image that in the last days the world will be consumed by fire. But nearly every other time the  “consumed by fire” image is evoked in Scripture, it is a fire that purifies rather than burns up, a fire that frees up life rather than destroys it. No doubt – the way we live is shaped by how we image the end of the world – whether we think God’s final plan is for everything to go up in flames or for everything to be brought to life.

“Creation care is not just about theology. It is about having the creativity to embody our theology imaginatively…At its core, creation care is about loving our global neighbor, because the poor suffer the most from the degradation of the earth…

“Christianity is not just about going up when we die; it’s about bringing God’s kingdom down, all the way to the dirt in our gardens”.

Also, exciting news regarding my upcoming book release, Wicked. This coming Monday, June 5th, Wicked will be up for pre-order. I will post more information on the release soon. Please see attached cover and back of the book.

Instead of listing our BPBC praises and prayers this week, please pray that “resurrection power” will come in regards the following highlights:

  • Healing needed in the minds, bodies, and spirits of those in our church and those who we have prayed for
  • The Call to and for Wisdom (#AThinkingFaith)
  • Brentwood and especially Hope Day 2017 this coming Saturday.
  • Any needs or prayers that are within our membership and attendees hearts and minds

In Jesus’s mighty name we pray!

Enjoy the attachments and have a blessed weekend!

In Service to Him,

Pastor Michael Miano

5/19 – BPBC Update

Blessings in Christ,

It is my hope and pray that each of you had a blessed and productive week. I know that working on my Thinking Thru Scripture online videos and steadily getting Wicked ready for an end of the month/ early June release have kept me busy through the week. Yet, I am excited for our weekend activities.

Tomorrow is the “Great Brookhaven Clean Up”, and many will be teaming up the Town to “Keep Brookhaven Beautiful”. We will be meeting at The Blue Point Bible Church at 7AM to break into teams and clean up various areas around the church, as well as the Bayport – Blue Point area. We will conclude our clean-up around 2:30PM and offer a BBQ at 3PM.

More information at the following link, http://www.bluepointbiblechurch.org/peace/?page_id=1073 on that and more “Spring into Action” opportunities with The Blue Point Bible Church

Of course, I am always looking forward to our Worship Services on Sunday. So…if we do not see you for the clean-up, we will prayerfully see you on Sunday. Please remember that we do not currently have cushions in our pews, so if the hard bench is bothersome to you, bring a pillow!

Blessings in Christ,

I sincerely hope and pray that each of you had a week of inspiration through God’s Word and productivity in the mission of bringing the Kingdom knowledge to the world.

I want to share a couple of announcements, updates, and resources and will then share our praises and prayers. Prayerfully, many of you, if not all of you had a chance to watch the daily videos I have been putting out on social media, as well as YouTube – Thinking Thru Scripture. If you have been following along today our text is Job chapters 6-9. Here is a link to my Youtube page where they are being compiled:

You can follow along with us using two different reading plans that will bring you through the Bible in a year:

Our Saturday Morning Bible Study follows the format on the One Year Bible Online. You can access that at the following link, http://oneyearbibleonline.com/weekly-one-year-readings/?version=51&startmmdd=0101

Thinking Thru Scripture utilizes the Chronological Bible Reading Plann through BibleStudyTools.Com. Here is the link to that reading plan, http://www.biblestudytools.com/bible-reading-plan/chronological.html

Dr. Don K. Preston debated Dr. Himie Pickett online this week, and while I have not had a chance to view it yet, apparently the debate was rather lively. One brother asserted, “I think we should have a contest to find out whose last debate was more comical. Miano’s or Don’s.”. Here is a link to watch the debate on YouTube:

Tonight we have “An Intro to XD Youth” at The Blue Point Bible Church and I hope to see those of you who were invited to join us.

Also, be warned depending on the weather, tomorrow morning’s (Saturday morning) Bible study may be canceled. Please use wisdom and caution.

This coming Sunday we will have a message focused on mothers titled –“A Resurrection Concept for Mothers”. Surely many will find this to be a timely and encouraging message. Please invite friends and family to join us for Worship Service at 10:30AM. We will have flowers as gifts for mothers.

Please mark your calendars and consider joining us for the Great Brookhaven Clean – up. As many of us will be gathering to break into teams and clean up areas of Bayport – Blue Point. 5/4 – BPBC Update

Blessings in Christ Jesus,

It is my sincere hope and prayer that this email finds each of you blessed, prospering, and knowing that you are rich in His grace. We had a blessed time lifting up prayers today for the National Day of Pray at The Blue Point Bible Church. Here is a link to read a short blurb about today’s event and see a picture, http://www.bluepointbiblechurch.org/peace/?p=1176

I just want to share a couple of resources and updates along with detailing some things we prayed for today (since I unfortunately was not with you all on Sunday to record our community praises and prayers).

I have recently typed up outlines on two very important doctrinal details – Covenant Creation in Genesis and the Corporate Body View (CBV) of the Resurrection of the Dead. Here are the links:

Also, graciously Ed Stevens and Simon Tack provided their notes from the Revelation Revealed Conference that I wanted to provide. Here are links to their notes:

I look forward to seeing you all this weekend.

National Day of Prayer (NDOP) Report

On May 4th, 2017, a few gathered at The Blue Point Bible Church (BPBC) to lift up prayers for our nation and commemorate the 66th annual National Day of Prayer (NDOP). Pastor Michael Miano of BPBC led the congregation in focused prayer specifically for the following four (4) categories: National Leadership, Local Leadership, The World/ Community at Large, and The Church. Sister Meredith Piniella blessed the congregation with the singing of It’s Time For All America To Pray. Pastor David Czeisel of Bayport UMC also joined us in prayer and note of a quintessential point for our gathering, “It’s time for the world to realize that more people are seeking and working toward unity than division”. A traditional 66 ringings of the BPBC bells was done to make note of this important event.

Here is a list of some of the details we lifted up for National Day of Prayer at BPBC:

NATIONAL LEADERSHIP: Asking that we would see “responsibility with favor” in regards to our national leadership we lifted up praises for living in such a blessed country, and prayed for President Trump and Vice President Pence. Justice and righteousness being expressed and seen through Congress, the Senate, and judges across our nation. We took a moment of silence of gratitude and memoral for every branch of our armed forces. We lifted up prayers against terrorism and for the minds, hearts, and souls of those terrorists.

LOCAL LEADERSHIP: We prayed that we we see “the increase of restoring beautiful, wholesome, and worthwhile realities in our communities”. We lifted up prayers for elected officials such as but not limited to Governor Cuomo, Senator Tom Croci, Legislators William Lindey and Rob Colarco, Brookhaven Town Supervisor Ed Romaine, and Councilman Neil Foley. We prayed for the Suffolk County Police Department and all the precincts across the island. We prayed specifically for Comissioner Sini and Deputy Commissioner Risco Mention-Lewis, along with 5th precinct’s Inspector Silva, Sgt. Frielingsdorf, Sgt. Calandrillo, and the COPE officers. We also took a moment of silence for officers that have lost their lives. We prayed for community organizations such as the Bayport-Blue Point Chamber of Commerce, Great South Bay Coalition, Blue Point Community Civic Association, Heroin Anonymous, Council on Thought and Action (COTA), XD Youth, and World Famous Block Parties.

THE WORLD/ OUR COMMUNITY: We prayed that “the world will be blessed through our prayers” specifically lifting up the elderly, families and marriages, children, those who are in need, and those who need comfort. We prayed that the world would wake up to the reality that more are working toward unity that against it. We prayed against the strongholds of heroin and gangs.

THE CHURCH: We held high and glorified God for the responsibility He has given to the Church to “make known the manifold wisdom of God”. We prayed that the Church would stand in the gap and be responsible “elders in the gate” for our communities. The Church must come to terms with the fact that we are Children of Abraham – “blessed to be a blessing”. We lifted up prayers for unity, proclamation and defense of the Gospel, and took a moment of silence for the persecuted Christians worldwide. We prayed for boldness and empowerment for Christians worldwide based upon the testimony of the persecuted. Lifting up prayers for local churches we mentioned Pastor David Czeisel of Bayport UMC, Father Fink of Our Lady of the Snow Catholic Church, Father Andrew of St. John’s Greek Orthordox Church, and Mother Diane of St. Ann’s Anglican Church, as well as local house churches and assemblies where two or three might be gathered. We also noted specific prayers for the local Ursuline sisters and the peace, joy, and trust they must have in God as they prepare to leave their center. We prayed that God would lead the use of the property and be glorified through it, and that the legacy of the Ursuline sisters never be forgotten from our community.

In Jesus’ mighty name we pray. Amen.
