5/19 – BPBC Update

Blessings in Christ,

It is my hope and pray that each of you had a blessed and productive week. I know that working on my Thinking Thru Scripture online videos and steadily getting Wicked ready for an end of the month/ early June release have kept me busy through the week. Yet, I am excited for our weekend activities.

Tomorrow is the “Great Brookhaven Clean Up”, and many will be teaming up the Town to “Keep Brookhaven Beautiful”. We will be meeting at The Blue Point Bible Church at 7AM to break into teams and clean up various areas around the church, as well as the Bayport – Blue Point area. We will conclude our clean-up around 2:30PM and offer a BBQ at 3PM.

More information at the following link, http://www.bluepointbiblechurch.org/peace/?page_id=1073 on that and more “Spring into Action” opportunities with The Blue Point Bible Church

Of course, I am always looking forward to our Worship Services on Sunday. So…if we do not see you for the clean-up, we will prayerfully see you on Sunday. Please remember that we do not currently have cushions in our pews, so if the hard bench is bothersome to you, bring a pillow!

Sundays at The Blue Point Bible Church

\Prayerfully, you have been taking advantage of watching the daily videos, Thinking Thru Scripture. Later this evening I will be bringing us forward in our reading, Job chapters 29-31. Here is a link to Thinking Thru Scripture on YouTube:

Also, you can follow along with our readings at the following link, http://www.biblestudytools.com/bible-reading-plan/chronological.html

I look forward to seeing most, if not all of you, this weekend!

5/12 – BPBC Update

Blessings in Christ,

I sincerely hope and pray that each of you had a week of inspiration through God’s Word and productivity in the mission of bringing the Kingdom knowledge to the world.

I want to share a couple of announcements, updates, and resources and will then share our praises and prayers. Prayerfully, many of you, if not all of you had a chance to watch the daily videos I have been putting out on social media, as well as YouTube – Thinking Thru Scripture. If you have been following along today our text is Job chapters 6-9. Here is a link to my Youtube page where they are being compiled:

You can follow along with us using two different reading plans that will bring you through the Bible in a year:

Our Saturday Morning Bible Study follows the format on the One Year Bible Online. You can access that at the following link, http://oneyearbibleonline.com/weekly-one-year-readings/?version=51&startmmdd=0101

Thinking Thru Scripture utilizes the Chronological Bible Reading Plann through BibleStudyTools.Com. Here is the link to that reading plan, http://www.biblestudytools.com/bible-reading-plan/chronological.html

Dr. Don K. Preston debated Dr. Himie Pickett online this week, and while I have not had a chance to view it yet, apparently the debate was rather lively. One brother asserted, “I think we should have a contest to find out whose last debate was more comical. Miano’s or Don’s.”. Here is a link to watch the debate on YouTube:

Tonight we have “An Intro to XD Youth” at The Blue Point Bible Church and I hope to see those of you who were invited to join us.

Also, be warned depending on the weather, tomorrow morning’s (Saturday morning) Bible study may be canceled. Please use wisdom and caution.

This coming Sunday we will have a message focused on mothers titled –“A Resurrection Concept for Mothers”. Surely many will find this to be a timely and encouraging message. Please invite friends and family to join us for Worship Service at 10:30AM. We will have flowers as gifts for mothers.

Please mark your calendars and consider joining us for the Great Brookhaven Clean – up. As many of us will be gathering to break into teams and clean up areas of Bayport – Blue Point. We will be meeting at The Blue Point Bible Church (corner of Blue Point Ave. & Maple St.) at 7AM, and serving until 2:30PM. We will then offer a concluding BBQ at 3PM. Follow this link for more information on that and other service opportunities at BPBC.

I look forward to seeing you all this coming Sunday, Mother’s Day.

9AM – Adult Sunday School

10AM – Fellowship & Coffee

5/4 – BPBC Update

Blessings in Christ Jesus,

It is my sincere hope and prayer that this email finds each of you blessed, prospering, and knowing that you are rich in His grace. We had a blessed time lifting up prayers today for the National Day of Pray at The Blue Point Bible Church. Here is a link to read a short blurb about today’s event and see a picture, http://www.bluepointbiblechurch.org/peace/?p=1176

I just want to share a couple of resources and updates along with detailing some things we prayed for today (since I unfortunately was not with you all on Sunday to record our community praises and prayers).

I have recently typed up outlines on two very important doctrinal details – Covenant Creation in Genesis and the Corporate Body View (CBV) of the Resurrection of the Dead. Here are the links:

Also, graciously Ed Stevens and Simon Tack provided their notes from the Revelation Revealed Conference that I wanted to provide. Here are links to their notes:

I look forward to seeing you all this weekend.

National Day of Prayer (NDOP) Report

On May 4th, 2017, a few gathered at The Blue Point Bible Church (BPBC) to lift up prayers for our nation and commemorate the 66th annual National Day of Prayer (NDOP). Pastor Michael Miano of BPBC led the congregation in focused prayer specifically for the following four (4) categories: National Leadership, Local Leadership, The World/ Community at Large, and The Church. Sister Meredith Piniella blessed the congregation with the singing of It’s Time For All America To Pray. Pastor David Czeisel of Bayport UMC also joined us in prayer and note of a quintessential point for our gathering, “It’s time for the world to realize that more people are seeking and working toward unity than division”. A traditional 66 ringings of the BPBC bells was done to make note of this important event.

Here is a list of some of the details we lifted up for National Day of Prayer at BPBC:

NATIONAL LEADERSHIP: Asking that we would see “responsibility with favor” in regards to our national leadership we lifted up praises for living in such a blessed country, and prayed for President Trump and Vice President Pence. Justice and righteousness being expressed and seen through Congress, the Senate, and judges across our nation. We took a moment of silence of gratitude and memoral for every branch of our armed forces. We lifted up prayers against terrorism and for the minds, hearts, and souls of those terrorists.

LOCAL LEADERSHIP: We prayed that we we see “the increase of restoring beautiful, wholesome, and worthwhile realities in our communities”. We lifted up prayers for elected officials such as but not limited to Governor Cuomo, Senator Tom Croci, Legislators William Lindey and Rob Colarco, Brookhaven Town Supervisor Ed Romaine, and Councilman Neil Foley. We prayed for the Suffolk County Police Department and all the precincts across the island. We prayed specifically for Comissioner Sini and Deputy Commissioner Risco Mention-Lewis, along with 5th precinct’s Inspector Silva, Sgt. Frielingsdorf, Sgt. Calandrillo, and the COPE officers. We also took a moment of silence for officers that have lost their lives. We prayed for community organizations such as the Bayport-Blue Point Chamber of Commerce, Great South Bay Coalition, Blue Point Community Civic Association, Heroin Anonymous, Council on Thought and Action (COTA), XD Youth, and World Famous Block Parties.

THE WORLD/ OUR COMMUNITY: We prayed that “the world will be blessed through our prayers” specifically lifting up the elderly, families and marriages, children, those who are in need, and those who need comfort. We prayed that the world would wake up to the reality that more are working toward unity that against it. We prayed against the strongholds of heroin and gangs.

THE CHURCH: We held high and glorified God for the responsibility He has given to the Church to “make known the manifold wisdom of God”. We prayed that the Church would stand in the gap and be responsible “elders in the gate” for our communities. The Church must come to terms with the fact that we are Children of Abraham – “blessed to be a blessing”. We lifted up prayers for unity, proclamation and defense of the Gospel, and took a moment of silence for the persecuted Christians worldwide. We prayed for boldness and empowerment for Christians worldwide based upon the testimony of the persecuted. Lifting up prayers for local churches we mentioned Pastor David Czeisel of Bayport UMC, Father Fink of Our Lady of the Snow Catholic Church, Father Andrew of St. John’s Greek Orthordox Church, and Mother Diane of St. Ann’s Anglican Church, as well as local house churches and assemblies where two or three might be gathered. We also noted specific prayers for the local Ursuline sisters and the peace, joy, and trust they must have in God as they prepare to leave their center. We prayed that God would lead the use of the property and be glorified through it, and that the legacy of the Ursuline sisters never be forgotten from our community.

In Jesus’ mighty name we pray. Amen.

4/28 – BPBC Updates

Blessings in Christ,
I pray that this week was blessed and productive for each one of you.
Unfortunately I will not be attending the 2017 Spring Bible Conference at Berean Bible Church this weekend as planned. Instead, I will be attending the Dare 2 Defend Conference at Smithtown Gospel Tabernacle here on Long Island. Long story short, there were some rental car issues and bad planning on the travel. God has His reasons. Amen? However, the weekend schedule at BPBC will remain the same (Sat. Bible study canceled and Pastor Steve Schilling leading our “Worship Service” this Sunday). If you are interested in the Dare to Defend Conference, here is a link – http://www.newyorkapologetics.com/conference/
The next couple weeks/months are looking to be rather busy in and through The Blue Point Bible Church. This is the season to “Spring into Action” and you can learn about that and more by visiting our website and clicking on the tab – “Spring into Action”. We have National Day of Prayer (May 4th), Intro to XD Youth (May 12th), Great Brookhaven Clean up (May 20th), and then HOPE Day in Brentwood on June 3rd. A special thanks to those of you who have already signed up to serve.
A couple updates….I re-preached the Sunday sermon to make details I shared about Ezekiel’s hope for resurrection a bit more clear. You can listen to the re-recorded sermon at the following link, http://www.buzzsprout.com/11630/504594-ezekiel-s-hope-for-resurrection
I was not a fan of my radio interview on “Ringside Politics” on Monday morning. At this link you will find a YouTube video of my explaining why as well as a link in the description to listen to the interview for yourself (I come on the show at the 3:00:00 mark). Also, in this video I finally teach through some details on Gog & Magog – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdcQ-GOZGoY
Also, I just finished reading an excellent “textbook” style writing called “Antichrist” by Bernard McGinn. I enjoyed the book so much and took so many notes that I had to write a review. You can read my review at the following link, https://mianogonewild.wordpress.com/2017/04/28/human-fascination-with-evil/
Have a blessed weekend.
In Service to Him,
Pastor Michael Miano

4/21 – BPBC Update

Whewww, I’ll tell you, it would sure seem that my week was invigorated with some “Resurrection Power”. Surely this was needed as we seek to “Spring into Action” at The Blue Point Bible Church. Be prepared for a busy next couple months of serving God with all our minds, hearts, souls, and strength. Much of these details will be shared in this update. Also by Sunday, you will be able to visit our website (www.bluepointbiblechurch.org) and click on the “Spring into Action” tab to stay informed.

In review, Mr. Mert Melfa our video guy, has put together all the videos from the Revelation Revealed Bible Conference and emailed a link to those who he had on an email list. I wanted to provide the link again and in this public blog, so here it is – https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1h2WwSa-8dMGmcP7qTKQ3pACwxgpvzBb Also, I blogged a “Part 2” of the review that I have offered about our conference a couple of weeks ago. You can access that blog at the following link, https://powerofpreterism.wordpress.com/2017/04/21/reviewing-the-revelation-revealed-bible-conference-part-2/

Again I mention that we are in the season of “Springing into Action” at BPBC. Below I will list some of the upcoming events where you can serve in some sort of fashion. All things for His glory alone!

5/4/17 – National Day of Prayer

“O Lord, listen! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, hear and act! For Your sake, O my God (Daniel 9:19)”.

The words of the prophet Daniel call us to consider all that is done in the Name of God and the glory His Name should receive.

Join us at The Blue Point Bible Church on Thursday, May 4th, 2017 at 12PM (noon) for the National Day of Prayer.

During this time we will offer up a time of prayer for our national, as well as national/ local leaders, community organizations, and concerns. Rending our minds and hearts to the consideration of the glory His Name deserves. Along with a traditional ringing of the bell to highlight our prayer for the healing of lour nation, and the nations around the world.

It is requested that any national or local leaders, elected officials, and community organizers who may want to pray or be prayed for RSVP by emailing ChristianityGoneWild@Yahoo.com or leaving a message with Pastor Michael Miano of The Blue Point Bible Church (631) 363-6111.

4/14 – BPBC Update

Blessings in Christ Jesus,

I pray that each of you had a blessed and set apart “Holy Week” for the glory of God and the edification of yourselves. May we be a people who see every week as “Holy Week” and every day a day that the Lord has made.

I want to provide some of the weekly updates and announcements, as well as our weekly praises and prayers. In Sundays sermon and the bulletin I provided a sort of outline regarding the parables of Jesus Christ (namely how they applied to the “hope of Israel”/ Kingdom of God), that our beloved former Pastor Claire Chandler put together. Here is a link to that resource: http://www.bluepointbiblechurch.org/peace/?p=1153

Earlier in the week I listened to a podcast between Travis Finley (Rethinking Revelation podcast) and Mr. Sam Frost. The discussion and reviews that followed seemed to be a popular thing. You can find a link to the podcast and read my review at the following link, https://powerofpreterism.wordpress.com/2017/04/11/sam-stop-talking-a-review-of-the-smackdown-on-rr/

Also, I have an exciting announcement that has come to fruition as of this week. One of the highlights of Mr. Ed Stevens’ upcoming Niagara Preterist Conference in Niagara Falls, NY, July 20-22, 2017, will be an exchange between him and myself and Mr. Stevens regarding the two views of “bodily change” (explaining our positions CBV or IBV using 1 Corinthians 15:50-57). More information coming soon.

You will find a graphic that highlights Good Friday & Resurrection Sunday/ Easter attached to this email.

TONIGHT at 6:30PM or 7PM (either way it will be a short Good Friday service), and on Sunday we will have Easter Breakfast at 9AM in the basement of BPBC and then a traditional service to follow at 10:30AM. Prayerfully you have invited some friends and family to join us for these events.

4/7 – BPBC Updates

Blessings in Christ Jesus,

I hope to hear that this week provided you with ample opportunity to praise God for all that He has created, accomplished, and is doing in the world. I know the spring season brings me empowerment to “spring into action” for His glory!

I want to supply you with some announcements/ updates, as well as our weekly praises and prayers as of Sunday, April 2nd, 2016. Also, you can now visit the website and see the updated monthly calendar. Here is a link, http://www.bluepointbiblechurch.org/peace/?page_id=11

I pray that each of you were able to read through the part 1 review that I wrote up about our conference. If not, here is the link, https://powerofpreterism.wordpress.com/2017/04/04/reviewing-the-revelation-revealed-bible-conference-part-1/

I will be writing up a couple of reviews.

Unfortunately, I saw the email from Mr. Mert Melfa that the Revelation Debate I had with Pastor Earl Wallace will not be uploaded to YouTube. Here is the link to the Facebook Live video that was done (also unfortunate is the quality is a bit choppy), https://www.facebook.com/mert.melfa/videos/654887674709590/

For the month of April at The Blue Point Bible Church we will be focused on “Hope Fulfilled”, namely how it applies to the reality of resurrection that OC Israel hoped for. We have Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and Resurrection Sunday (Easter) all this month. Oh and let us not forget Passover. We will combine our Passover and Good Friday celebration. I have attached a graphic giving you dates and times of services at Blue Point in these regards.

This coming Sunday will be the 2nd Sunday of the month when we talk a bit about serving the world. I will be sharing a host of details on how you can “spring into action” with us at The Blue Point Bible Church this coming Sunday, April 9th (and following that the details will be provided on our website).

Also, here is a link detailing some of my thoughts about the ongoing and God-glorifying reformation that Full Preterism is having within the Christian Church – https://powerofpreterism.wordpress.com/2017/04/07/pushing-preterism/

I look forward to all that God will do in and through is in this new season.

In Service to Him,

Pastor Michael Miano
