2/17 – Weekly Update from BPBC

Blessings my Brethren.

It is my sincere hope that even though this week was a heartbreaking one for our nation, that each of you are finding peace in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. I plan on sharing some of the power and potential that Biblical wisdom has to offer regarding what seems to be a “wicked generation” in the sermon tomorrow morning. I look forward to seeing those of you who have not mentioned in advance that you will not be joining us.

Two resources I produces this week were; (1) on Monday I was interviewed by Mr. Michael Adams on his radio program, Old Religion Dystopia: Knowing Vs. Belief, in regards to Full Preterism. That interview has turned into a series I will teach on his show. Here is a link to this past Mondays show,  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LCi8q5-clhE

(2) Also, I focused on the “present truth” we get from our the Genesis creation narrative on the Hairy Ticks Variety Show this past Tuesday. You can listen to that podcast and more of the HTVS at the following link, https://tfcradio.org/tuesday-at-8pm/

I will spare the announcements for now and rather have much to share tomorrow morning. I am surely anticipating God continuing to produce “greater things” in and through our congregation this year -therefore we have so busy beginnings. Glory to God!

I’ll prayerfully see many of you tomorrow.

In Christ,

Pastor Michael Miano

2/9 – Weekly Update/ Important Announcements from BPBC

Blessings in Christ,

Prayerfully, you had a fruitful week, continually offering up sacrifices of praise and thanksgiving (Hebrews 13:15).

A couple of important announcements and details for this week, and then I will share our corporate praises and prayers. First, as many of you know, Deacon Ed’s mother-in-law passed into the heavenlies, last week. Tonight, 2/9, is the wake. If you are interested in attending the wake, the funeral, or sending cards and flowers, you can find all you need at the following link, www.raynordandrea.com/notices/Ellen-Coogan

Also, Mr. Steve Mahr mentioned the play, Under the Sea, which is happening last night, tonight, and Saturday at Patchogue-Medford HS. If you have tickets, prayerfully you have a blessed time. If you don’t have tickets, email me or call me, you may still have time to get a ticket. (Friday at 7pm, or Saturday at 1pm and 7pm).

This coming Sunday – 2/11, we will have our after-church luncheon. Any ideas on location?

As we continue journeying through Genesis I praise God that many of you are speaking of learning more and being edified. I look forward to more and more of the “greater things” as we authentically “Think through the Scriptures” this year at The Blue Point Bible Church.

I will be participating in an online written debate with Mr. Michael Bradley, who holds to the “Israel Only” position. “Israel Only” (some have referred to this as “hyperpreterism”) is the view that all the promises of Eternal Life, salvation, resurrection, and the afterlife has nothing to do with life in Christ in our current day, but rather, only had to do with the restoration of and fulfilled promises given to the  physical lineage of Israel in the 1st century. I will provide a link below, however I will be sharing more details this coming Sunday. Here is a link regarding the debate, https://www.facebook.com/events/147851895931004/

Also, I trust many of you are getting excited for our upcoming annual conference in March. This year the conference title and theme is “Examining Crossroads: Biblical Controversies Conference”. You can now read the different speaks and topics at the following link, www.bluepointbiblechurch.org/peace/?page_id=1346

(unfortunately, Mr. Micah Stephens will not be able to join us this year)

I look forward to seeing you all this weekend. Saturday morning Bible Study @ 9AM Sunday Morning Adult Sunday School @ 9AM Worship Service @ 10:30AM

In Service to Him, with Love for the Saints,

Pastor Michael Miano

2/2 – Weekly Update from The Blue Point Bible Church

Blessings in Christ,

Prayerfully this update finds you have a God-glorifying week. February is gearing up to be an exciting and edifying month at The Blue Point Bible Church. I would like to share some announcements and some resources, as well as our weekly praises and prayers.

This coming Sunday, 2/4, we will have a February Monthly Calendar available following our Sunday Worship Service. Also, following our worship service, we will have a meeting regarding the formation of our “Worship Committee”. If you are interested in serving on our Worship Committee, please consider joining us immediately after service in the Fellowship Room.

Also, please make note that our “monthly after-church luncheon” will be on Sunday, February 11th. We have not yet chosen a location, so suggestions will be appreciated.

I am so happy that many of you,  many outside of our congregation, and even myself, have praised God through the most recent season at The Blue Point Bible Church. We have been going a bit deeper in our studies and sermon series in taking a look at the “Genesis creation account”. This past Sunday I sort of summarized my thoughts. Here are some resources to go along with that summary:

Some other resources from this week would include my interview on the Hairy Ticks Variety Show with Pastor Alan Bondar regarding his new book, The Journey Between the Veils. Listen to that podcast at the following link, https://www.spreaker.com/user/10014082/1-30-2018

Also, I completed another podcast regarding the verse brackets in my most recently published book, Wicked. You can listen to that at the following link, https://wickedthingsexplained.wordpress.com/2018/01/31/gospel-parables-of-the-kingdom/

Surely those are enough resources to keep you busy for a while. Prayerfully they provide encouragement and edification.

I look forward to seeing most, if not all, of you this weekend.

1/26 – Weekly Update from The Blue Point Bible Church

Blessings in Christ,

Most, if not all of you, will be reading this in the morning. Good morning. Happy Friday. This is no ordinary Friday, this is ANNUAL MEETING FRIDAY. I look forward to our annual meeting at The Blue Point Bible Church every year. I am known for telling people “it is my new year celebration”. Surely, each of you can imagine I look forward to talking through old and new business, as well as sharing vision to move us into 2018. To God be the glory.

I do look forward to seeing our membership and those interested in attending at 7PM tomorrow, Friday evening.

I have been encouraged and excited in noting how serious we are taking “Thinking Thru Scripture” in not only our Sunday services, but in the Bible studies throughout the week. Praise God! I know I have been being blessed! I shared all that we have been doing, plus what can be expected as we continue looking at the “Genesis creation account” on this weeks broadcast of the Hairy Ticks Variety Show. If you did not tune in on Tuesday, you can listen at the following link, https://www.spreaker.com/user/10014082

Also, Mr. David King, who visited our church last Sunday from Redding, California, who also runs the Facebook group, Pioneering Spirits, did an audio clip with me. You can listen to a short explanation of Temple Texts at the following link, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0f8AMSRgNg&feature=youtu.be

I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow evening.

In Service to Him,

Pastor Michael Miano

1/19 – Weekly Update from The Blue Point Bible Church

Blessings in Christ,

Prayerfully, each of you had a prayer-led and God-glorifying week. I am excited that in most of our study groups and most of my ministerial efforts we are focused on seeing the prophetic details of the Genesis creation account. The Blue Point Bible Church truly exemplifies “A Thinking Faith”.

Here are some announcements for this week:

The Pro-Seafield Meeting that was mentioned in the bulletin this past Sunday has been cancelled. More information will be provided at a later date.

This Saturday, Jan. 20th, we will have a short Bible study (9am-10am), and for those interested, some of us will be going on a local hike “on the wild side”.  We will explore some preserved Open Space at 10:00 am (That’s Jan.-20th).  It’s the Woodlane that surround the “Vineyards at Blue Point” Luxury Condo’s on Sunrise Hwy.  Our route will consist of “light bushwhack” and half along existing trails & some cleared construction areas, the route’s between 1 1/2 – 2 miles in length, a big loop.  The long range forecasts are looking pretty good (but this is a week out, who knows 100%).  Yes dogs welcomed, on a leash.  ** The actual Trails are not there yet, hey we’re explorers!!!

Also, as mentioned a few times, our BPBC Annual Meeting is set for Friday, January 26th @ 7PM.

There will be no XD Youth Party this month.

In bringing this update to a close, I want to encourage you to find some time to listen to the 1/16 episode of the Hairy Ticks Variety Show. I had the privilege of discussing Genesis chapter 1 with Mr. Travis Finley of RethinkingRevelation.com. Here is a link to the show,  https://www.spreaker.com/user/10014082/1-16-2018

With many blessings, through our Lord Jesus,

Pastor Michael Miano

1/12- Weekly Update from The Blue Point Bible Church

Blessings in Him.

Prayerfully this week brought blessings and clarity into your life, all by the grace of God and for His glory. I know that I am excited that we have begun, and I get to prepare for, our sermon series “Thinking Thru Scripture”. God willing, each of you read through Genesis 1 and answered some of the bulletin questions.

Tomorrow in our Saturday Morning Bible Study at 9am, we will be going a bit deeper into the historical and textual context of Genesis chapters 1-3. Specifically, we will be taking a look at the similarities and differences between the different Ancient Near Eastern writings such as the Book of Genesis, the Enuma Elish, and the Ras Shamra texts. Surely this study will be a blessing to understanding the doctrine of beginnings (protology). Consider joining us!

Also, this time of year brings about planning and discussion for our BPBC Annual Meeting which is on Friday, January 26th @ 7PM. And of course, we have begun planning for our annual Bible conference on March 23rd-25th, 2018 with the theme “The Crossroads of Preterism”.

It’s looking to be yet another God-glorifying and church-edifying year!

Here are our corporate praises & prayers as of Sunday, January 7th, 2018:

Kevin lifted up praise for answered prayer as well as the privilege of knowing and being influenced by the membership at BPBC. He lifted up praise for Denise, and asked that God continues to bless them.

Sandy lifted up praise and continued prayer for healing for her nephew Michael. Lord, keep his attitude on praising you!

Terri lifted up praise for answered prayers, and the blessing of having Wayne and her mom in her life.  She also made mention of specific petition for the Roberts family as they mourn the passing of Mr. John Roberts.

Vicki praise God for the gift of salvation and answered prayer. She praised God for BPBC and asked that He continue to increase our knowledge of Him.

Pastor Mike praised God for and prayed for the influence of Mr. Ed Stevens and the International Preterist Association. He praised God for those he interacted with throughout the week and prayed that God would continue to lead him to be a blessing to others in the week to come. He also lifted up prayers for Meredith as she is dealing with Bronchitis, as well as prayers for a sister named Esther who is in need of a heart transplant.

May God be glorified through our prayers. In the mighty name of Jesus.

I look forward to seeing you all this weekend. Thinking Thru Scripture promises to be a rewarding experience as we grow in the grace and knowledge of Him (2 Peter 3:18).

With an ever-increasing love,
Pastor Michael Miano

12/22 – Weekly Update from The Blue Point Bible Church

Blessings in Christ,

It sure is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Minus the snow, of course. 😊 Prayerfully, each of you had a blessed week of preparing for Christmas, and embracing the hope for a blessed new year.

Much of my week has been in-preparation as well, therefore, I do not have too many resources to share. I am looking forward to going deeper into the Biblical narrative this year through our “Thinking Thru Scripture series” which launches on January 1st. I have also been prepping to do something similar on the Hairy Ticks Variety Show. This pastor Tuesday, the broadcast included an interview with Dr. Jeff Vaughn, who is the co-author of Beyond Creation Science. You can listen by clicking on this link, https://tfcradio.org/tuesday-at-8pm/

I look forward to seeing most, if not all, this weekend. Keep in mind, on Sunday 24th (Christmas Eve), there is no Adult Sunday School. We will be meeting for our worship service at 10:30AM. Our service will be dedicated to “Gifts That Remain”. We will also have a small gift for those visiting with us.

To the glory of God, & edification of the saints,

Pastor Michael Miano

12/15 – BPBC Weekly Update

Blessings in Christ,

I hope to hear that you have been demonstrating Godliness and listening intently to the voice of God in your life. I have been encouraged and excited for our topic of the “voice of God” on Sundays at The Blue Point Bible Church. Surely, our diligence in understanding and discerning the voice of God will be a blessing in this season and the year to come.

As announced last Sunday, we will be having service at our usual times for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, however our New Year’s Eve service will be followed by a fellowship potluck. Preparations have begun for our Annual Bible Conference, The Crossroads of Preterism, to be held at The Blue Point Bible Church on March 23-25, 2018. Also, The Power of Preterism Network website has been updated with videos from last year’s conference on Revelation Revealed.

Through my personal ministry, MGW: Apologetics & Ministry, I am offering a buy 2, get one FREE on my books. So if you know anyone who needs or is interested in books – I am selling both Freaked Out by the New Covenant, as well as Wicked. Also, working on a audio-book for Wicked and a soon to come YouTube series.

On the Hairy Tick Variety Show I have begun a narrative journey through the Scriptures, which is similar to something we will begin doing at The Blue Point Bible Church in January. However, listening to the podcasts now, you can get a head start in your understanding. Here is a link to this weeks show, https://tfcradio.org/tuesday-at-8pm/

I look forward to seeing you all this weekend, either at Saturday Morning Bible Study (9AM), or Sunday for Adult Sunday School, or Worship Service.

With faith, hope, & love,

Pastor Michael Miano
