Thansgiving Insight from Pastor Michael Miano

The Biblical understanding of God’s solution to the world’s ills, is that instead of causing us to obsess about life elsewhere or causing us to fantasize about life outside of the existence we already know (being human), the One True God breathes life into His creation by “renewing their minds” according to His truth and standard (i.e., conceptual realities)”.

11/17 – Weekly Updates & Resources from Pastor Mike

I must admit I am still riding out the joy and blessings I felt from the fellowship I had with many of you last week. From the square dancing to the awesome luncheon at Steve & Lisa’s! I surely consider myself a blessed man, a blessed pastor.

Before I share our corporate praises & prayers from Sunday, I do have some important announcements and some resources to share.

Tonight we have our Operation Christmas Child “Shoebox Packing Party” at 7:30pm at The Blue Point Bible Church. Thank you to all of you who have helped with gathering stuff, setting up, and of course those of you who will pack with us tonight!

The Fall Clean-up (PT. 2) that was scheduled for tomorrow, 11/18, is canceled! As well as Saturday Morning Bible Study. I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday for our Worship Service.

I have been engaging the views being brought up by Jason De Costa within the preterist community lately. I believe this provides opportunity for us at BPBC as well as others who endeavor to be serious & and diligent Bible students to better understand the Biblical narrative, and our place in it. So while I did not interview Jason as planned this past Tuesday on the Hairy Ticks Variety Show, I did share some preliminary details. Here is the link to the show –

Also this week, I continued a video series I have been doing called “A Full Preterist Speaks Up & Speaks Out (pt. 5)”. You can watch that video on YouTube at the following link,

I look forward to seeing many of you tonight, and if not tonight, prayerfully Sunday.

In Service to Him,

Pastor Michael Miano

11/10 – Updates & Resources from Pastor Mike (Blue Point Bible Church)

Blessings in Christ Jesus,

Prayerfully this weekly update finds you enjoying and prospering in His grace. Also, being mindfully of our #GrowAndGo from Sunday, prayerfully you have had ample opportunity through out the week to let your faith shine!

Some announcements and resources for this week are as follows. Tomorrow, Saturday, November 11th, which is also Veteran’s Day, we will only have a 1 hr Bible study from 9am-10am, and then will be going to the LI-CAN Listening Post at Bayport United Methodist. All are welcome to join us for this necessary component of fighting the opioid epidemic.

Also, I imagine many of you have seen the Operation Christmas Child information and “Needs List” that was made available. In the event that you have not, here is a link to find the information on our website –

Also, I am currently working on plans/goals and vision for 2018 at The Blue Point Bible Church. I covet your wisdom. What are some things you would like to see done, take place, or do at BPBC in 2018? One thing I will be working on is a simpler format for weekly updates. We will have a BPBC Weekly Update and a MGW Updates & Resources (which will provide links and resources that I compile through various ministry efforts during the week). Two podcasts I offered this week were the Hairy Ticks Variety Show which is on TFC Radio ( on Tuesdays at 8pm, and the Chronicles of Josephus, which you can find on demand. Here are the direct links:

I look forward to seeing many if not all of you this weekend.

In Service to Him,

Pastor Michael Miano

Blessings in Christ,

Prayerfully each of you had a blessed week and are looking forward to the festivities that the end of October brings. I was sorry to miss you all this past week, however I heard good things about the sermon and service that Pastor Steve led. Glory to God!

While I do not have the list of weekly praises and prayers, I do have a couple of praises and prayers to share. I have been one with you all in Spirit all throughout the week lifting up the prayers of our congregation in my morning Common Prayers. Praises for all that God is doing through organizations and individuals on Long Island to fight against the heroin epidemic. Also, prayer requests for the Sietz family and for Raven. God knows the needs.

A couple of resources and announcements.

Due to the fact that Election Day is coming up, November 7th, I have begun thinking and talking through politics. I shared some thoughts on this weeks podcast of the Hairy Ticks Variety Show along with a blog. Here are the links:

10/20 – Updates & Resources from Pastor Mike Miano (BPBC)

Blessings in Christ,

I surely hope that you had a blessed week and have made use of our vision of #GrowAndGo. Last Sunday

I challenged us to begin thinking about those whom we are responsible to in bringing a wholesome image of Jesus Christ and the Christian faith. May God give us ample opportunity to reach those He desires.

Tonight we are going “crabbing” at the Blue Point Docks with our XD Youth group. We plan to be go down there from 8:15 – 10:30pm. Also, of importance is that there will be no Saturday Morning Bible Study tomorrow since we have our annual BPBC Fall Cleanup at 7:30AM.

Through the various ministry efforts I am involved in I put together a good amount of resources this week. I have been going through the brackets in Wicked and detail the verses in short commentary style podcasts. This past week I detailed Mark 1:14-15 in regards to the Kingdom of God. Here is the link for that podcast,

Prayerfully you have been enjoying listening to TFC Radio (, and most especially the Hairy Ticks Variety Show which I have the privilege to host. You can listen to this weeks show and catch the other shows you may have missed at the following link,

I have continued to tell you all about the reforms happening in regards to Full Preterism, not only all over the nation, but  more excitedly right here on Long Island. To respond to some of the criticism and critiques I have begun doing weekly Facebook live sessions I am calling A Full Preterist Speaks up & Speaks Out. Here is a link to part 4,

And lastly, we have begun 5Q Discipleship using Alan Hirsch’s book as a resource. We had our first meeting this past Tuesday and will have our next meeting, Tuesday, October 24th at 7:30PM. We all are called to be growing in our discipleship and therefore I strongly urge each of you to get involved with this meeting! You will surely be blessed.

Prayerfully some of you will consider joining us for the Fall Cleanup on Saturday morning, if not for crabbing tonight at 8:15pm.

May He continue to enrich you,

Pastor Michael Miano

10/6- Updates, and Praise & Prayers from BPBC

Blessings in Christ,

It surely has been a beautiful but trying week. As many of us are still reeling from the events that took place last Sunday evening in Las Vegas, we praise God for those who were willing to risk their own lives to help, and are continuing. I know our prayers have been in one accord all week. I must share what I read and was inspired by in Common Prayer this morning:

“Loving God, even in the midst of the world’s pain and sorrow, we can encounter Your joy. Show us that such joy comes when we are caught up in works of mercy and find ourselves unable to distinguish between our blessings and those of our brothers and sisters. Amen”

May we continue to pray that we will continue to see the fruit of the Gospel, the healing of the nations.

On Sunday I had shared about the “Word of God”, I promised a list of verses and not only will I list them, but we will go through some of them in our Saturday morning Bible Study at 9AM. Here is the list: Genesis 15:1 (Psalm 18:30; Proverbs 30:5-6); Exodus 9:18-30; Numbers 15:17-31; Deuteronomy 18:13=-22’ Deuteronomy 30:1-3, 14; 1 Samuel 3:1,7 (Amos 8:11); Psalm 12:6-7; Psalm 33:4-12; Psalm 119; Proverbs 30:5-6; Isaiah 55:8-11; Jeremiah 1:9-10; Matthew chapter 13; Mark chapter 7; John chapter 1 (cf. 1 John 1:1; Revelation 19:13); John chapter 8; John 17:14, 17; 2 Timothy 3:16-4:4; Titus 1:8-9; Hebrews 1:1; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:22-25

Also, this week I put out two videos for the series I have been doing on Facebook Live. In part 2 I dealt with the “atonement question”, and in part 3 I deal with the “ages”. You can now watch the videos on YouTube at the following links (part 2  & 3):

Mike Ferris joined me on the Hairy Ticks Variety Show this past Tuesday. You can listen to the podcast at this link à

Oh and lastly of announcements is the news that now on Sunday mornings, sermons from The Blue Point Bible Church are played on TFC Radio. Listen to the daily line-up at the following link,

Plan to join us for something this weekend at The Blue Point Bible Church. Also, please be aware that immediately after service on Sunday, those who want to join us for a Listening Post in regards to the opioid epidemic, are welcome to come on down to Bayport United Methodist Church.

In Service to Him,

Pastor Michael Miano

9/29 – Important BPBC Resources – Announcements -Praises & Prayers

Blessings in Christ,

I pray that the beautiful weather initiating Fall has been a pleasure to you and allowed you to be productive this week. I must say, in my life it seems God’s sovereignty always works in and through the seasons, as if He is always building me up for the next experience. What a mighty God!

I want to share some FULFILLING thoughts I shared this #MissionalMonday:

“The false rapture doctrine is indeed “so wrong”. If we study and allow the Word to do the dividing between truth and false, the truth of Christ fulfilling the “eschatological promises” is so evident.”

“The Book of Revelation is speaking of the “soon” coming judgement that was to come upon the Harlot Babylon (which when understood contextual is speaking of 1st century Jerusalem and the idolatry they built around their “cultic temple system”), and there persecution of the saints.”

It has been a week chock full of discussions and convictions regarding preterism and the kingdom of God. Namely, that as Christians our foremost focus must always be on the message of the Kingdom. I summarized my thoughts of the kingdom in the manner; “The Kingdom is where God dwells. What that means is that the Kingdom is where His presence and promises are found. We know the Kingdom of God is found in and through Christ & His people, which was the goal of His parousia. To dwell in and among His people, to be God to them, and for them to be His people (display His righteousness)”.

Therefore, I spoke a bit about the Kingdom of God on the Hairy Ticks Variety Show this past Tuesday. You can listen to that podcast here,

Also, we have been focus on the Kingdom of God passages found in chapter 1, part 2, of Wicked on Wicked Things Explained podcast. Here is the link to the explanation of Daniel 7:21-26,

Tonight we have our XD Youth Party at The Blue Point Bible Church from 7PM-9PM. At these gatherings we foster authentic fun and friendship (what we call extremely different) to bring about an eXtremely Different Youth. We also offer announcements and other opportunities that aid our efforts.

An October calendar/ list of dates will be available on Sunday, October 1st at The Blue Point Bible Church, and will be posted on the website. Quite a few events to aid in the fight against the opioid epidemic, Fall clean up at the church, game night, 5Q Discipleship, and the launch of LIFE Seminars.

Surely God will continue to be glorified through all that we plan.

I look forward to seeing you all at some point throughout the weekend.

In Christ,

Pastor Mike Miano

9/23 – Information & Updates from BPBC

Well according to the Jewish tradition it is fitting to say, Happy New Year (Shana Tova), since Thursday, September 21st was Rosh Hoshana. Also, Friday marked the beginning of the Fall season. Surely, we praise God for the beauty of new season, renewing out minds according to His Truth daily.

Before I share some resources and our BPBC corporate prayers for the week, I would like to remind you that tomorrow, Sunday – September 24th, we will continue our series “Things Christians Say”, and specifically will be talking about what it means to say “I believe in the Bible”. I invite you to bring along some things you have heard or known Christians say regarding the Bible.

Here are a couple of resources I produced this week that prayerfully you will find edifying.

Each week there will be a podcast going through the context and details of each passage found in the brackets throughout the book, Wicked, at This week we went through the context of Jeremiah chapters 30-31 pertaining to the Kingdom of God. Visit the following link to listen to the podcast,

A brother named Joel Sexton from social media shared his writings on the comparisons of Jeremiah 30-31 and the Book of Ezekiel. Access his resources at the following link,

On Tuesdays at 8PM, you can now listen to podcasted shows of the Hairy Tick Variety Show. This past week, I shared my coming to and understanding Full Preterism. Listen here,

Also, I continued the video teaching through 2nd  Corinthians that I shared with you last week. Here is part 2 of The Christian’s Glory,

Oh, I am reminded. We are all here! Supposedly in some Futurist circles today was another failed prediction regarding the end of the world. I enjoyed what Tony Denton had to say, “Every failed apocalypse date just supports preterism that much more. Thanks.”

I look forward to seeing many of you tomorrow as we begin talking about Christians & The Bible.

In Service to Him,

Pastor Michael Miano

9/15 – Study Resources, Praises, & Prayers from BPBC

Here is the link,

Lastly, I was finally able to write up my part 1 response to Jerel Kratt’s critique of the CBV that was in the most recent Fulfilled! Magazine. You can read that response at the following link,

Don’t forget. This coming Sunday, September 17th is National Back to Church Sunday. At The Blue Point Bible Church we will be launching a new sermon series called “Things Christians Say” which will foster true Christian and Biblical foundations, as well as challenge many misconceptions regarding the “things Christians say”. Tell a friend. Invite a friend! Sundays at 10:30AM (graphic attached) Â

I look forward to seeing many if not all of you this weekend!

In Service to Him,

Pastor Michael Miano
