10/31 – Reformation Day Updates

Blessings in Christ,

Well….Reformation Day has surely been a busy one regarding the “Pastor Life”.

I woke up and went right to work continuing an on-going dialogue through Social Media regarding the efficacy of the “local church”, prayerfully demonstrating the power of the “local church” as a vehicle for God’s glory and the edification of the saints. Tomorrow, I will produce some videos explaining my views on the the “local church” that prayerfully you will find edifying.

Today is marked as “Reformation Day” since it is said that today is the day that Martin Luther tacked the 95 Thesis on the Church at Wittenburg’s door initiating what we know today as “The Protestant Reformation”.

That being so, I wanted to take a moment to offer some resources I have went through today, learning more about reformation and revival happening within Christendom. Glory to God!

Here are some resources:

(A link to some simple details about today’s date in history)

(A link to a study archive regarding the Reformation)

(Interesting link to a unifying event that occurred in 1999 between Lutherans & Catholics on doctrine of Justification)

(Founder’s Ministries is an interesting site, and they have a whole resource on the “Reformational Mindset)

Ed Steven’s recently shared details concerning a nationwide repentance done by the worldwide Church. I thought it sounded interesting and like a good challenge for us as those seeking to be consistent Christians. You can learn more about that at the following link, http://www.revivalmatters.com/#about-the-week

Also, being that tomorrow marks “All Saint’s Day” and the following day, “All Soul’s Day”, I wanted to encourage you to stay tuned to my YouTube channel, and/or my Social Media, for a video highlighting a contemporary focus on those things.

And finally, I wanted to share with you details regarding a Bible Study I will lead up through this

coming Saturday, November 5th @ 9AM at The Blue Point Bible Church. The graphic is attached to this memo.

I pray you all have a blessed week.

In Service to Him,

Pastor Michael Miano

10/29 – Updates from BPBC

First and foremost, I want to let you all know that the Suffolk County Marathon is tomorrow morning and will affect travel to our Church services. I am attaching a photo with the run route (thanks to sister Meredith). Also, I have been in touch with the town and they told me if you mention that you are trying to make it to church to any of the workers along the route, they will assist you in getting involved.

I have decided to cancel our 5th Sunday Potluck that was scheduled for tomorrow – primarily because I didn’t mention it last week, and I do believe some travel may be affected by the Marathon. I do pray to see you though, namely because we conclude our #BeingCHRISTIAN Sermon Series tomorrow morning.

I have also attached a graphic for our new sermon series

I apologize that the posting of my radio program podcast was a bit late, however you can now listen to my interview with Andy as a start to my new program on MGW Online Radio, “Flavors of Preterism” at the following link, http://www.mianogonewild.com/audios/31/flavors-of-preterism-series-intro-und-interview-with-andy-.html

10/8 – BPBC Update

Keeping up with our “Consistency Principles”, the following link will bring you to Part 4 of the list we had, and we will continue to go through these principles until the end of October. Here is the link, https://mianogonewild.wordpress.com/2016/10/08/beingchristian-consistency-principles-part-4/

As a #FlashbackFriday I provided a YouTube upload of my debate with Sam Frost which happened in January 2013, right before I came to pastor at BPBC. You can now watch it at the following link, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hz4JEGAsumE&feature=youtu.be

I mentioned the sermon series on “The Feasts of the Lord” by Pastor David Curtis, of Berean Bible Church, this past Sunday and wanted to provide a link to those sermons. Here it is, http://www.worldwithoutend.info/wwe321wp/category/bbc-sermons/page/2/

Also, I found it interesting that as we are going through Jewish Holy Days, Dr. Don K. Preston had an interesting and stimulating conversation with a Messianic Jew from the “new2torah” movement. You can watch that discussion here, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2yfR3Ms9dM

As I have been going through my own studies through the Jewish Holy Days, I have begun a short video series myself called “Feasting Not Fasting”, and you can view the first one I did earlier today at the following link, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AyHrlFNUjw&feature=youtu.be
