2/9 – Weekly Update/ Important Announcements from BPBC

Blessings in Christ,

Prayerfully, you had a fruitful week, continually offering up sacrifices of praise and thanksgiving (Hebrews 13:15).

A couple of important announcements and details for this week, and then I will share our corporate praises and prayers. First, as many of you know, Deacon Ed’s mother-in-law passed into the heavenlies, last week. Tonight, 2/9, is the wake. If you are interested in attending the wake, the funeral, or sending cards and flowers, you can find all you need at the following link, www.raynordandrea.com/notices/Ellen-Coogan

Also, Mr. Steve Mahr mentioned the play, Under the Sea, which is happening last night, tonight, and Saturday at Patchogue-Medford HS. If you have tickets, prayerfully you have a blessed time. If you don’t have tickets, email me or call me, you may still have time to get a ticket. (Friday at 7pm, or Saturday at 1pm and 7pm).

This coming Sunday – 2/11, we will have our after-church luncheon. Any ideas on location?

As we continue journeying through Genesis I praise God that many of you are speaking of learning more and being edified. I look forward to more and more of the “greater things” as we authentically “Think through the Scriptures” this year at The Blue Point Bible Church.

I will be participating in an online written debate with Mr. Michael Bradley, who holds to the “Israel Only” position. “Israel Only” (some have referred to this as “hyperpreterism”) is the view that all the promises of Eternal Life, salvation, resurrection, and the afterlife has nothing to do with life in Christ in our current day, but rather, only had to do with the restoration of and fulfilled promises given to the  physical lineage of Israel in the 1st century. I will provide a link below, however I will be sharing more details this coming Sunday. Here is a link regarding the debate, https://www.facebook.com/events/147851895931004/

Also, I trust many of you are getting excited for our upcoming annual conference in March. This year the conference title and theme is “Examining Crossroads: Biblical Controversies Conference”. You can now read the different speaks and topics at the following link, www.bluepointbiblechurch.org/peace/?page_id=1346

(unfortunately, Mr. Micah Stephens will not be able to join us this year)

I look forward to seeing you all this weekend. Saturday morning Bible Study @ 9AM Sunday Morning Adult Sunday School @ 9AM Worship Service @ 10:30AM

In Service to Him, with Love for the Saints,

Pastor Michael Miano
