About BPBC

PASTOR MICHAEL MIANO EXPLAINS

that what we believe about ourselves, our lives, our God, and our future affects the life we live. Many have fallen into false narratives, and false understandings of God and the meaning of life and thereby we see our world affected in a negative way.

The goal of the “knowledge of God” (Biblical Doctrine) is to renew our minds and give us a zeal empowered by knowledge that gives us the opportunity to live “life to the full” (eternal life).

This “knowledge of God” is intended to be found in and manifested through the Church. Each local church exists to provide you with the opportunity to encounter and grow into this ‘eternal life’ and get you involved in the ‘missio dei’ (the mission of God).

What to expect at Blue Point Bible Church

The congregation of The Blue Point Bible Church (BPBC) exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ and to reach the lost with the message of His Truth. We are zealous about His Truth and demonstrate this through serious Bible study.

On Sunday Mornings at 9AM we have an Adult Sunday School where we engage in Biblical discussion and devotions. Our Fellowship Time at 10AM provides the opportunity for coffee, cake, and fellowship.

Our Worship Service begins at 10:30AM and we begin with a song or two of praise. Our service format is traditional and a moderately formal designed to honor God with orderly worship and edify the Believers (see, 1 Corinthians 14:40). We have a time of corporate praise and prayer when everyone is afforded the opportunity to bring testimonies and petitions before the Lord, and public prayers for the ‘prayer warriors’ to lift up throughout the week. Our pastor shares a sermon every Sunday with the intention to inspire us to grow more firmly in our understanding of God and His Word.

Our Deacons, Elders, and Pastors all labor to diligently serve the Lord in Spirit and in Truth. Dedication to “searching the Scriptures” and “proving all things” is evident when you spend time around our congregation.

We appreciate every opportunity the Lord provides for us to share our faith. While many of us are able and willing to zealously defend what we believe, we prefer to be a blessing and simply share with humility. God willing, you may be inspired to visit and get involved at BPBC!

We also have various Bible studies, classes, and outreach opportunities available throughout the week. You can visit out website at www.bluepointbiblechurch.org or call (631) 363 -6111 for more information, however your best option is to visit on Sunday and get all the information in person.

DOCTRINAL STATEMENTS (excerpts from the BPBC Constitution):

“We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired, and is a perfect treasure of heavenly instruction : that it has God for its author, salvation for its end,  and truth without any mixture of error..”

“We believe that there is one, and only one, living and true God, an infinite, intelligent Spirit, whose name is JEHOVAH, the Maker and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth; inexpressibly glorious in holiness,  and worthy of all possible honor, confidence, and love;  that in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost;   equal in every divine perfection,  the executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption.”

“…We believe that the salvation of sinners is wholly of grace;  through the mediatorial offices of the Son of God…”.

“We believe that the great gospel blessing which Christ secures to such as believe in him is Justification; that Justification includes the pardon of sin,  and the promise of eternal life on principles of righteousness;  that it is bestowed, not in consideration of any works of righteousness which we have done, but solely through faith in the Redeemer’s blood;  by virtue of which faith his perfect righteousness is freely imputed to us of God;  that it brings us into a state of most blessed peace and favor with God, and secures every other blessing needful for time and eternity.”

We believe the blessings of salvation are made free to all by the gospel; that it is the immediate duty of all to accept them by a cordial, penitent, and obedient faith; and that nothing prevents the salvation of the greatest sinner on earth but his own inherent depravity and voluntary rejection of the gospel;  which rejection involves him in an aggravated condemnation.”

“We believe that, in order to be saved, sinners must be regenerated or born again; that regernation consists in giving a holy disposition to the mind;  that it is effected, in a manner above our comprehension, by the power of the Holy Spirit in connection with divine truth, so as to secure our voluntary obedience to the gospel: and that its proper evidence appears in the holy fruits of repentance and faith and newness of life.”

“We believe that Election is the eternal purpose of God, according to which he graciously regenerates, sanctifies, and saves sinners, that being perfectly consistent with the free agency of man, it comprehends all the means in connection with the end; that it is a most glorious display of God’s sovereign goodness, being infinitely free, wise, holy, and unchangeable;  that it utterly excludes boasting, and promotes humility, love, prayer, praise, trust in God, and active imitation of his free mercy;  that it encourages the use of means in the highest degree; that it may be ascertained by its affects in all who truly believe the gospel;  that it is the foundation of Christian assurance; and that to ascertain it with regard to ourselves demands and deserves the utmost diligence.”

We believe that such only are real believers as endure unto the end; that their persevering attachment to Christ is the grand mark which distinguishes them from superficial professors; that a special Providence watches over their welfare: and that they are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation.”

“We believe that there is a radical and essential difference between the righteous and the wicked; that such only as through faith are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and sanctified by the Spirit of our God, are truly righteous in his esteem; while all such as continue in impenitence and unbelief are in his sight wicked, and under the curse; and this distinction holds among men both in and after death.”

“JESUS CHRIST CAME TO FULFILL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS AS STATED IN

(Matthew 5:17 NASB) “Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill.

IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD NOT TO HAVE ACCOMPLISHED ALL THAT HE CAME TO DO, SO THEREFORE, WE HOLD TO A “FULFILLED ESCHATOLOGY.” JESUS CHRIST PROCLAIMED THAT ALL PROPHECY WOULD BE FULFILLED WITHIN THE GENERATION OF THOSE TO WHOM HE WAS SPEAKING.

OUR SAVIOR’S TEACHING OF THE TIMING OF THE EVENTS WERE UNDERSTOOD BY HIS FOLLOWERS: WE THEREFORE BELIEVE THAT THIS WORLD IS WITHOUT END, BUT NOT DENYING THAT GOD AT ANY TIME HAS THE RIGHT AND POWER TO BRING IT TO AND END. AS WE CONTINUE IN OUR LIVES WE SHOULD STRIVE TO BE GOOD STEWARDS OF HIS CREATION AND BOLDLY PROCLAIMING THE WORD OF GOD.”
