Blessings in Christ,

I trust this email finds you enjoying the season, whatever season that might be, and seeing God at work in and through you. We surely have had some beautiful weather, depicting beautiful Spiritual realities, on southshore Long Island.

Tonight, Sat., 8/30, we will gather for Hymns at the Bay at 7:15pm (and we will continue with that time until 9/27 – which will be our last night of doing Hymns At The Bay for this season.

Tomorrow, Sunday, 8/31 is International Overdose Awareness Day.
We will have Adult Sunday School at 9am and Worship Service at 10:30am.
Following our Worship Service, at 12:30pm, we will have our IOAD Fundraiser Luncheon, in the basement.

Those who have volunteer’d on Thursdays for the “Hub of Help” will have the cost covered, however, from those who have not, we will ask for a $20 donation. We will have BBQ foods, smoked meats, raffles, and invited speakers. We hope you will plan to stay and enjoy the food, time, and fellowship.

** We will not have our evening session of Breaking Bread & Gathering.

We will also have a September 2025 ‘Monthly Calendar’ available tomorrow.

A few resources for your edification;

You can review a short outline and resources regarding the sermon preached this Sunday, ‘When Growing Up Doesn’t Go As Planned’ (which was a look at the period of AD 313 – 1000), at the following link, https://www.bluepointbiblechurch.org/?p=3956

Today ended most Summer Reading Plans, including the “Color Our World” Summer Library Tour and our BPBC Bible Reading.

My most recent book review was on a book about fundraising that made some points each of us might find insightful. Especially as fundraising has been a bit of a topic among BPBC membership. Read my review at the following link, https://mianogonewild.wordpress.com/2025/08/20/a-book-report-about-fundraising/

Lastly, in the ‘Preterist perspective’, two resoures that were produced in the last few weeks were;

We pray for continued healing and good health among our congregation and those in our families and surrounding us. We pray travel mercies and good experiences for those who are traveling. We pray for those in need, those mourning, and those seeking a blessing. We praise God for sustaining our congregation, ask for wisdom in leadership and finances, and increased motivation to live our His purposes in our lives and communities. In Jesus’ mighty name.

I look forward to fellowship to be had throughout the rest of the weekend and trust that the resources mentioned herein will carry you through until the next weekly update. To God be the glory.

By and for His glory,
Pastor Michael Miano
