On Sunday, November 23rd, 2025, The Blue Point Bible Church, a historic church located in Blue Point, New York, honored long-time member, Dr. Victoria Chua, with a proclamation and a plaque officially designating the Dr. Victoria Chua Fellowship Room.

Dr. Victoria Chua, 88, has been a member of the church for over 30 years and the pastor often refers to her as the “church mother”. You can find Dr. Chua on any given day serving the church through maintenance and upkeep, serving coffee and other refreshments (creating a familiar environment to foster the grace, fellowship, and love of God), and always emphasizing study of the Bible. Also, of course, her consistent praise to Jesus Christ for salvation, and her wisdom and willingness to offer help, counsel, and advice truly goes unmatched. It would make sense that in her shared thoughts after the dedication ceremony, she exhorted everyone to consider the benefit of pastoral guidance and church membership. Dr. Chua is quoted as saying, “I encourage you to think, to pray about it, and join the church as a member”.

The “Fellowship Room”, as it had been formerly known, has and will continue to serve as the inner sanctum of fellowship, study, coffee (and other refreshments), and serving others. Weekly Bible studies, discipleship courses, and opportunities for fellowship are often hosted in the room. More recently, the “Fellowship Room” has been utilized as a food pantry and a safe space for the needy called the “Hub of Help” @ BPBC” (which is open to the public on Thursdays).

It was with great privilege and honor that a dedication service was hosted to honor Dr. Chua’s service and to officially designate the room as the “Dr. Victoria Chua Fellowship Room”. Pastor Michael Miano stepped down from the pulpit mid-sermon to lead the officiating of the service and read through the proclamation. Deacon Brian Johnston, who initiated the idea along with his wife, Sandra, shared thoughts of appreciation for Dr. Chua. Elder Steve Hernandez concluded the dedication service with a prayer regarding the designation of the room as a God-honoring use of the church building and implored each of to continue with the attitude of care, concern, family, and service that Dr. Chua continues to exhibit.

The Blue Point Bible Church, it’s leadership, membership, and general attendance want Dr. Chua to know how appreciated she has been to so many of us and wants those far and near, present today, tomorrow, and time indefinate, to know as well.
