Blessings in Christ,
I hope this update finds you enjoying your first full week in 2026. Prayerfully, this week afforded you time to fellowship with those you love, to mark out resolutions and goals, to participate in our corporate Bible reading plan, and to praise God for all He has build up in your life. We (The Miano’s) are still waiting on our baby boy with excitement and anticipation.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
It has been decided that the “Hub of HELP” @ BPBC will continue to be closed today, Jan., 8th, and will re-open on Thursday, Jan. 15th with new hours – 10:30am – 4pm. We will continue to develop the effort and enhance our way of providing help to our neighbors through thrift, community resources, and more.
This coming Sunday, Jan. 11th, we will launch a new sermon series at The Blue Point Bible Church at 10:30am. Titled, “Miraculous”, this sermon series will lead us into examing and applying the miracles of Jesus Christ, as they changed peoples lives then and continue to change lives today. Each Sunday along with the sermon, those who attend will receive a free resource to accompany the sermon. Consider joining us and perhaps bringing a friend.

Also, please take note that our BPBC Annual Meeting is scheduled for Friday, January 30th at 7pm.

SERMON REVIEW
This past Sunday, the 1st Sunday of the year, I preached a sermon titled, “New Year, New Song”, at The Blue Point Bible Church. I exhorted us to consider who we are and what we are to be doing. First, I urged us to take notice of the opportunity in front of us (referring to it as “holy ground”, see Exodus 3:5). The day, the season, and every day that we are alive is ripe with opportunity. Opportunity for us to walk worthy of our calling and election (see, 2 Peter 1:10).
At The Blue Point Bible Church, we declare;
– God’s Sovereign Grace – He is in control and He does the saving work of His people.
– Fulfilled Bible Prophecy – we are not watching and waiting, rather we are possessing and increasing; we go about proclaming the
Presence & Purpose of God as made known through the fulfilled work of Jesus Christ.
– Bible Church – we seek, search, study, and prove the things of God by way of the Scriptures; We desire to live with and express “A Thinking Faith”
Lastly, I reminded us that our walking worthy of giving God glory in all things and doing all things for the building up of the Church (see, 1 Corinthians 10:31; 14:26) is found in our ‘healthy engagement with the Church, namely the “Pastoral Vision’. Proverbs tell us that ‘without vision the people perish’ (see, Proverbs 29:18). Our Pastoral Vision for 2025 was and is (until our 2026 Annual Meeting) to “Be Present & On Purpose” in all that we do, and to participate in the “Hub of HELP”. Help us help others.
I imagine that is enough information to keep you updated and edified until our next time of planned gathering. We continue to keep many within our congregation and around us in prayers for healing, recovery, comfort, encouragement, and increased faith. We trust God and praise Him for all He has done and continues to do. All of this in, by, and for the glory of Jesus Christ.
By the goodness & glory of God,
Pastor Michael Miano
