It has truly been a long week, full of activity, review and planning, loss, and vision. Many of us are continuing to lament the passing of Miguel Suarez into eternity just yesterday morning. We cover Joy in prayer for peace and comfort. We are working toward helping Joy put together an honorable service in remember and rejoice of Miguel’s life. We also had our BPBC Annual Meeting last night. A small few were in person and some even joined online, thank you. For those who were not able to be there, we still have the information packet available for you.
Tomorrow, we will gather for Worship Service at 10:30am, first Sunday of the month, first day of the week. With all the talk of ‘respecting Worship Services’, churches across America should be full…I have continued to labor in and advocate for ‘healthy church engagement’ as the solution to many ills. This is because I truly believe that the Church, in its truest & healthiest expression, a unifying & focusing effort in a divided & distract world, is the epicenter of God’s work and healing in this world. As I have said, which Scripture asserts, the Church is the purpose of God. Tomorrow, Sunday, February 1st, Vision Sunday, at The Blue Point Bible Church, I plan to explain further the Pastoral Vision I presented at the Annual Meeting last night – “Individual Accountability & Corporate Cohesion”. I will not only explain the vision in practical ways, I will also detail how each of us, yes even YOU can take part in this vision that works toward what God wants – all things for His glory & all things for the building up of the Church (see, 1st Corinthians 10:31; 14:26). We are currently planning our BPBC activities calendar for February through April 2026, which will be made available later this coming week. There will be no Adult Sunday School tomorrow, 2/1.
Also, tomorrow at 9am there will be a time of Common Prayer with Shane Claiborne and other Red Letter Christians, online.
